Seating for non-diners is first come, first served. Please arrive early to guarantee a seat!

Contemporary jazz vocalist, songwriter, and native Seattlite, Alex Baird sings with the soul and tact of a seasoned singer. After graduating with a degree in Jazz performance in 2020 from University of Northern Colorado, recording and releasing her debut album, Lemon Tree in May 2022, she has jumped into the Seattle music scene with a fresh but classic take on the jazz standards we know and love. Alex is an accomplished songwriter; her original song, All I Needed, has 1.7M streams on Spotify and her music is reminiscent of greats like Norah Jones, Stevie Wonder, and Carol King.

Alex has achieved notable success in Seattle, having won the Seattle-Kobe Jazz Vocalist competition at age 19 in 2018, touring with the Nextet and adjudicating the Commencement Bay Jazz Festival in 2023. She now teaches and performs regularly in Seattle, leading the Vocal Jazz program at Lincoln High School and teaching at Seattle Jazz Academy and Jazz Night School. Catch her performing her music before she leaves to pursue a graduate degree in LA at California State University Long Beach.

Please join me for the first of Whitman Hill Winery's "On Whitman Pond" Concert Series, in Zillah, WA (close to Yakima!). I will be singing with a guitar trio of some of my favorite musicians, Martin Budde, Tony Lefaive, and Max Holmberg. We’ll be playing my original music and arrangements in a concert setting for the first time in too long. Enjoy some local wine from this lovely winery, sit outside to enjoy the music, and even grab some food from JJ’s Birrieria. It’s going to be a very fun evening!
